utilities information & account guide

once you've settled in to your apartment, the next step is making sure you've got your bills handled! we've already covered paying your rent online, but now let's how to navigate the resident utility system!

 

to get started, log into your tenant portal. (If you have any questions about how to log in, give our office a call at 309-888-4600!)

the account dashboard is the page you’ll find yourself on once you’ve logged in. here you'll find any important messages, and beneath that, your individual account information. 

 

when you're ready, click view account detail.

 

 

 

 

the account detail will provide you with a running list of payments you currently owe. this includes both rent and utilities. 

 

this will show only what you owe for each bill (your roommates get separate bills!), along with the time frame of each bill statement.

once you’re ready to pay your bill, you’ll have a few options. we recommend the recurring payment method with a checking account. this is the only way to pay without any processing fees.

 

if this is the option you choose, here's a quick tutorial on how to set that up.

 

note: you can set up this same payment process with a credit card, however, there is a $27.90 processing fee each month with this option.

 

 

just like with your rent payments, additional payment options can be found under “make a one-time payment” instead of “schedule recurring payment”. you can find more information on that option by clicking below.

while we always suggest setting up recurring payments, you can also make one-time payments! just keep in mind that there will be varying processing fees for each option:  

  • bank account payments: $5 each payment
  • credit card payments: $27.90 each payment
  • cash payments: $3.75 each payment
view / edit scheduled payments
